Triple MG boss, Ubi Franklin is no stranger in the Nigerian music industry. Having successfully managed Iyanya to limelight, the duo would later go on to
establish Triple MG which has Emma Nyra, Tekno, Basi and Selebo signed under it.
Ambitious and fiercely determined, Ubi who recently revealed his desire to get married next year has famously said that he likes his women strong, supportive and motivating.
But asides Triple MG and women, there's more to the Madonna University graduate. Here's 5 things you probably didn't know about Ubi Franklin.

  1. He Read Law: Before Ubi became a record label boss, Ubi was a Law Student at the Madonna University.
  2. Son Of A High Court Judge: It's not entirely by accident that Ubi chose to read Law, before his passing, Ubi's father worked as a High Court Judge.
  3. Served As PA To Julius Agwu: In his early days in the entertainment industry, Ubi served as a Personal Assistant to popular comedian, Julius Agwu for 2 years. He also attempted to manage 2Face Idibia's social media accounts for awhile.
  4. Brain Behind "Kukere": Although Iyanya had originally been the one to conceive of "Kukere" following a burst of inspiration after a trip to Calabar, he never quite completed recording the song until Ubi tricked him into completing it. The song went on to become a hit single.
  5. Bunk-Mates With Kelly Handsome: As students in Madonna University, the duo shared a bunk and also were friends as they both began to cut their teeth in entertainment.

Building Collapse: TB Joshua Compensates Families With N750,000 Each

The General Overseer of the Synagogue, Church Of All Nations, Prophet T.B Joshua has stated through the church spokesperson, Kirsten Nematandani, that the church will be compensating the families of the victims who lost their lives during the collapse of the Church’s guest house on Friday, September 12, 2014 with the sum of  50,000rands  (N750, 000) to each family. According to Kirsten, “The church has pleaded with the Nigerian government to expedite the repatriation process in order for families to bury the deceased with dignity and receive closure. “We have done a full audit of each family’s financial needs and assisted with various household expenses, as many of the deceased were breadwinners.” “The SCOAN church is donating a sum of 50,000 rand to each victim’s family for various expenses”, he said. Recalled that large cross section of those who lost their lives in the incident were South Africans.
