3 Things Nigerian Celebrities Need To Stop Doing

Yung6ix

Nigerian celebrities do the most awkward and many times unnecessary things and because they are celebrities they sometimes get away with them. This doesn't however mean they should not consider stopping these things because lets face it, it gets old.
Here are 3 things Nigerian celebrities need to stop doing
  1. Shouting out to their 'haters' : This seems to be a common trend among Nigerian celebrities. In recent times Nollywood bad boy Jim Iyke and also
Lola Omotayo; wife of Peter Okoye of Psquare have addressed their 'haters' in very long Instagram posts. Celebrity or not, not everyone will like you and being a celebrity means you are in the public eye and people will most definitely take shots at you, this doesn't now warrant to dedicating essays to them. The best revenge is to totally ignore them, giving them shout out just implies that you are paying attention to them.
  2. Posting photos of money: Harrysong was recently guilty of this misdemeanour. He posted a photo on Instagram with stacks of money and openly declared that the money is all his. Frankly, it's unnecessary, you don't see Bill Gates flaunting stacks of Dollar bills. Yung6ix is also a multiple offender for the crime in the category of flaunting stashes of Naira notes. You are a well paid artist who can afford pricey things, we get it but showing off actual bundles of money doesn't earn you points.
  3. Posting the price of stuff : This has to be the most popular unnecessary thing that Nigerian celebrities are guilty of. Everyone, even we non-celebs like to Instagram photos of the nice things we get, but including the price... you lose a number of points. Recently Chika Ike's manager Serah Donald revealed how much Chika rented a luxury boat for her vacation, $24,000 for two days. It's okay to show off your pricey gifts and purchases but is adding the price really necessary,I think not.
