Ace comedian and MC, Julius Agwu who declared his intention to run for the governorship position in Rivers State has stepped down from the race. The news came shocking to fans. We have the exclusive on why he stepped down and who asked him to step down.

The people of Rivers State were the ones who asked him to step down and when we say the people of the states we mean his kinsmen from Ikwere where the current Governor is also from which is why he was asked to step down. Here is what his manager, Sunday Uwen said in a press statement;

“There was a meeting between Julius Agwu and his kinsmen from Ikwere, and it was agreed that he should step down from the governorship race.

“Because the current Gov. Rotimi Amaechi, is his friend and they are both from the same area.

“They will want the position to rotate to another part of the state and Agwu has decided to listen to his people and withdraw from contesting,” the statement said.
