Barman Simeon Tenebe was stabbed for staring lustfully at a customer's girlfriend

For daring to look lustfully at the girlfriend of his customer, abarman who works at a hotel located around the Ojodu ara of Ogun State, Simeon Tenebe, is now battling for his life in the intensive care unit of an undisclosed hospital.

Simeon, according to reports, was stabbed severally by a drunk customer, Kelvin Friday, who felt the barman was eyeing his girlfriend and could not take such affront from a mere waiter.

Kelvin who lives around the Ojodu-Abiodun area, was reportedly mad at Simeon in an unprovoked attacked, smashed the bottle of beer he was drinking from and stabbed Simeon on the face and head.

It was gathered that Kelvin and his girlfriend, had gone to drink in the hotel around 6pm on October 21, when the incident happened.

The victim, Simeon, claimed he was brooding on an issue he had discussed with his sister earlier in the day when the 25-year-old man confronted him. He added that Friday interpreted his stare for rebuke and challenged him to a scuffle.

Prior to the incident, it was said that Friday had accused the barman of being unpleasant while attending to him and his girlfriend.

Tenebe and his family reported the case to the police who arrested Friday and charged him to an Ikeja Magistrate’s Court for assault.
