Shakira shows off her Baby Bump

She held off announcing the pregnancy for a while but Shakira clearly couldn’t be more delighted – as shown in her latest instagram picture. The Hips Don’t Lie singer smiles proudly as her partner, footballer Gerard Pique, tenderly cradles her tummy.

Her parents Nidia Ripoll and William Mebarak Chadid revealed in HELLO!’s sister publication HOLA! that the couple are expecting another boy.

“We’re very happy,” said Nidia and William. “She’s having another baby boy. We don’t know anything about names yet.”

Their eldest Milan is 20 months old, an age at which he can understand that a little playmate is on the way. He’s also very bright; his mother posted a video on Facebook last month of her showing him how to read.

Shakira, 37, was writing Spanish words like ‘mama’ and ‘papa’ on a piece of paper and her little boy was reading them out.

The expectant mum has told a Brazilian TV show that the new baby is “a true gift”, although she still dreams of having a daughter.

She said: “I’d like to have a girl one day, but we’ll see, because you never know what’s going to happen.
