President Jonathan Condoles Zambians Over Death Of President Sata

President Goodluck Jonathan on Wednesday, October 29, 2014 sent his condolence to the people of Zambia following the death of President Michael Sata.
In a press statement signed by the President’s special adviser on media and publicity, Reuben Abati, President Jonathan expresses his sympathy for the people of Zambia, on behalf of the government of Nigeria and its people, as they mourn President Sata, who he describes as “their leader, patriarch, nationalist and patriot” who will be remembered in history for his stance against neocolonialism and other forms of imperialism in Zambia and Africa as a whole.
The President added that as the people of Zambia prepare to lay President Sata to rest, he urges them to conduct themselves in an orderly, constitutional and peaceful manner as they go about the task of selecting a new president.
He concluded by praying to God to comfort Zambians, praying that a worthy successor is selected to keep the country united and ensure it keeps making progress or the people’s benefit.

Building Collapse: TB Joshua Compensates Families With N750,000 Each

The General Overseer of the Synagogue, Church Of All Nations, Prophet T.B Joshua has stated through the church spokesperson, Kirsten Nematandani, that the church will be compensating the families of the victims who lost their lives during the collapse of the Church’s guest house on Friday, September 12, 2014 with the sum of  50,000rands  (N750, 000) to each family. According to Kirsten, “The church has pleaded with the Nigerian government to expedite the repatriation process in order for families to bury the deceased with dignity and receive closure. “We have done a full audit of each family’s financial needs and assisted with various household expenses, as many of the deceased were breadwinners.” “The SCOAN church is donating a sum of 50,000 rand to each victim’s family for various expenses”, he said. Recalled that large cross section of those who lost their lives in the incident were South Africans.
