Last Wednesday, the Internet was shaken by the release of a nude photo shoot by reality TV star, Kim Kardashian. She posed nude for Paper Magazine and it seems the Internet did not break, but it did explode.
Questions have followed the not-so-shocking photo shoot which shows a progression from champagne propped shot to a full
frontal uncensored nudity shot of the wife of rapper, Kanye West.
Did she receive a bank alert for this photo shoot, were the photos photo-shopped, and what role did her reportedly protective husband play in the process of having his wife’s nudity on display for the whole world?
Answers are coming in. Reports say that Kim Kardashian did the photo shoot for free just because she was excited to work with famed French photographer Jean-Paul Goude who was contracted to create his iconic “Champagne Incident” shoot. Apparently, the champagne rainbow shoot was meant to be the only photo, but as the two began to work together, Kim Kardashian started to get naked for Goude and ”the magic” happened.
On the issue of retouching or photo-shopping of the photos, Paper magazine’s editorial director, Mickey “Mr. Mickey” Boardman said, “Every cover of every magazine is airbrushed on some level. But what I will say is that is her butt. It is not padded. It is not augmented. That is all really her. But, yes, there was retouching to clean things up and make things look amazing,”
“That’s what retouching is. It’s not building an ass that isn’t there or taking 50 pounds off the waist,” Boardman further explained. “There was some ass-related thing that was proposed but we weren’t sure what was going to happen. We were really just planning on recreating the [famous] champagne shot…but she came in and was like, ‘Let’s, you know, let’s just go there!’ She and Jean-Paul just got into it with each other and got excited. She’s not shy about taking her clothes off, and the next thing [we knew], magic was happening.”
According to the Daily Mail, dotting husband, Kanye West supervised the photo shoot. But, he left the baby oil rubbing to another man and the actual nude shots were taken after Kanye West left the room.
